In this episode, Patti chats with Carla Wilson, director of
athletics at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Carla has
been a ‘Roo for life; she’s been at UMKC since she was an undergrad
when she majored in, of all things, accounting. She started as a
budget specialist in UMKC’s administrative affairs office, but she
always dreamed of the day when she could marry her love of sports
with her love of finance. When a job came available in the business
office of the athletics department, she took the shot—and the rest,
as they say, is history.
